About the film
Project Hail Mary (2026) is the science-fiction film based on Andy Weir's best-selling novel. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, it stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship light-years from Earth with no memory of who he is or why he is there.
Our Sun is dimming, and Earth does not have long. As Grace slowly remembers his mission, he discovers he is not the only one trying to save his world. What follows is one of the most loved friendships in modern sci-fi: a lonely human and a five-legged alien engineer named Rocky, who have to learn to talk to each other before they can save anyone.

Why it is a perfect friendship quiz
The film is really about friendship across the biggest possible distance. Grace and Rocky cannot see the world the same way, cannot speak the same language and do not even breathe the same air, yet they trust each other with their entire planets. If that does not earn a 10/10, nothing does.
